Job description

Dispatcher- Must have verifiable experience in a security operations environment. Must demonstrate mastery of CCTV console operations. Must have a working knowledge of Lenel OnGuard software's System Administration Section. Must be able to type 40wpm.

Actively hiring security officers to protect the facility’s assets, personnel, and operations from security threats. This includes patrolling the premises, controlling access, responding to incidents, and enforcing security protocols. You will also play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring surveillance equipment, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Access Control - Monitoring and controlling the entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and materials, preventing unauthorized access.
  • Surveillance - Monitoring CCTV and other security systems to detect suspicious activity and respond to alarms
  • Incident Response - Responding to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and ensure safety.
  • Security Protocol Enforcement - Ensuring that all personnel and visitors adhere to the refinery's security policies and procedures.
  • Emergency Response - Following established emergency procedures and protocols during incidents, including evacuation procedures and communication with relevant authorities.
  • Documentation - Maintaining accurate records of safety and security incidents, patrols, and other relevant activities, and preparing reports for management.
  • Collaboration - Working closely with other security personnel, emergency responders, and plant management to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  • Training and Awareness - Participating in security training programs and promoting security awareness among plant personnel.
  • Qualifications:
  • Licensing - Active TWIC required, active level 2 or above security license required, active safety council certification preferred.
  • Technical Skills - An understanding of security protocols, emergency response and surveillance systems.
  • Soft Skills - Communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, customer service, attention to detail and patience.
  • Experience - Prior experience in a security operations center with dispatch and response management responsibility is required. Prior experience in industrial security settings, law enforcement or the military is desirable.
  • Physical and Mental Requirements - Must be physically able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks. Must be able to focus, multi-task and handle stressful situations. Vision must be correctable to normal levels. Must be able to work in various environmental extremes (hot, cold, dry, wet, dusty, loud, etc.).
