Nobu draws upon his classical training at sushi bars in Tokyo and his life abroad in Peru, Argentina, and around the world to create a whole new trend in Japanese cuisine, bringing a burst of excitement to the already famed scene of Miami Beach.
Located in the Nobu Hotel at Eden Roc, Nobu adds an extra level of class and sophistication to the iconic hotel. Nobu Miami now offers patio seating as well as an exclusive Teppan Room. Nobu's signature dishes such as Yellowtail with JalapeƱo and Black Cod Miso are served to throngs of fans, proving that in the end, it is all about the food.

JOB DESCRIPTION  

Nobu Miami is looking to expand their Front of House team. Nobu Bussers and Food Runners provide exceptional dining service to customers in a courteous, efficient, and accurate manner with a sincerely pleasant and professional demeanor. He or she helps the servers to serve food and drinks following established guidelines, procedures, and policies for food and beverage safety controls as prescribed by company standards. Other duties including setting and resetting the dining room tables to maximize prompt table availability for our guests. He or she remove plates, glassware, and silverware when guests have completed their meal, and quickly and efficiently re-sets and re-stocks the table for new guests. Nobu Bussers and Runners are polite and friendly to guests, wait staff, and management and must follow proper sanitation standards and keep his or her workstation clean and sanitary at all times.

The ideal candidate for this position has a minimum of one year of relevant experience.

  • Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
  • Clears tables and used dishes, glasses, and silverware and resets between customers
  • Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies
  • Runs food from kitchen to guests' table and provides accurate description of dish to customers
  • Maintains complete knowledge of the restaurant features, cuisine, general information and hours of operations

QUALIFICATIONS  

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma preferred
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
  • Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
