Job description

The Club is looking to hire a new cook to prepare delicious and inspired wood-fired pizzas for our guests for the summer season. Duties will include prepping meals by weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, cooking pizzas, checking ingredients for freshness, and arranging and garnishing the dishes for presentation. You will also be helping to ensure that the kitchen and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained.

To be successful in this job, you will need thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation.

Culinary school education is preferred, and prior experience in a related position is required.

Note: This is an hourly, seasonal position of 6 months or less requiring at least 40 hours per week. Overtime premiums will be applied for any hours over 40 worked per week.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare pizzas according to menu standards
  • Prepare and plan food production to coordinate with service hours
  • Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations and portions
  • Follow standard recipes and special dietary orders
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well in teams
