Job Title: Housekeeping & Facilities Maintenance

Location: Salem, Virginia

Shift: 3rd 

Starting Compensation Range: $16.80 - $21.12 per hour

The Facilities Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly facility, including mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting surfaces, and pulling trash. Additional responsibilities include setting up and tearing down meetings/events, moving furniture, assembling furniture, cleaning and setting up offices, and assisting the Building and Grounds team with minor repairs. 

Requirements for the Facilities Maintenance position include: 

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work additional hours to meet demands

Seeking Candidates with:

  • Previous related experience, required
  • High school diploma or GED, required

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently sitting for extended periods of time
  • Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
