Reports To: Director of Operations / Sales
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Logistics Manager with 5–7 years of relevant experience to lead and optimize the end-to-end logistics operations of our recycling and IT asset disposition (ITAD) business. This role is responsible for managing inland and ocean transportation, coordinating complex multi-leg shipments, and ensuring full compliance with environmental and data security standards specific to the industry.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in supply chain operations, deep familiarity with both white-glove logistics and secure chain-of-custody protocols, and a track record of delivering cost-effective, compliant, and scalable logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-End Logistics Management
    • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all inland (LTL, FTL, last-mile) and ocean freight shipments across the U.S. and internationally.
    • Develop SOPs for standard, expedited, and secure transport of IT assets and e-waste materials.
    • Coordinate internally with warehouse operations to arrange inbounds and outbounds
  • ITAD amp; Recycling Special Handling
    • Implement and monitor secure logistics protocols, including tamper-evident packaging, serialized asset tracking, and GPS-enabled transport.
    • Coordinate logistics for R2, e-Stewards, and NAID-certified facilities and downstream vendors.
    • Ensure compliance with EPA, DOT, RCRA, and data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, NIST 800-88) as they relate to asset movement.
  • Carrier amp; Vendor Management
    • Negotiate rates and manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, 3PLs, and specialized white-glove service providers.
    • Maintain and audit service-level agreements (SLAs) and ensure high on-time performance and damage-free delivery.
  • Inventory amp; Transportation Visibility
    • Oversee tracking and tracing of all shipments using TMS, WMS, and/or ERP systems.
    • Collaborate with operations and customer success teams to maintain visibility, address service disruptions, and provide timely updates.
  • Cost Control amp; Continuous Improvement
    • Analyze freight spend, optimize routing, and identify opportunities for consolidation and mode shifts.
    • Drive process improvement initiatives to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of logistics management experience with a mix of inland and ocean freight.
  • Hands-on experience in recycling, e-waste, or IT asset disposition (ITAD) industries is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP such as NetSuite or SAP).
  • Familiarity with secure asset tracking tools and chain-of-custody documentation.
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and analytical skills. Proven leadership abilities with a problem-solving mindset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
