Locum Cardiologist | Summit Veterinary Referral Center | Tacoma, Washington

Summit Veterinary Referral Center is seeking a locum Cardiologist to supprt our well-established cardiology program in Tacoma, Washington. Whether you're between positions, exploring new markets, or simply prefer the freedom of locum life - this is a strong placement with a practice that knows how to treat its specialists well.

You'll step into a thriving, built-in caseload backed by over 300 referring facilities. No ramp-up. No cold starts. Just good, complex cardiology from day one.


The Setup

Our cardiology department is fully equipped and fully supported:

  • 2 Samsung RS85 ultrasound units
  • Philips Affiniti 70 dedicated cardiac imaging system
  • Siemens Somatom VB10 CT
  • Siemens Magnetom Aera 1.5T MRI
  • Fluoroscopy suite for interventional procedures
  • Digital radiography and endoscopic equipment
  • Multiple dedicated cardiology technicians and assistants

Routine procedures include balloon valvuloplasty, PDA occlusion, and transvenous pacemaker placement. The infrastructure is here. You just bring the expertise.

A genuinely collaborative team of specialists - Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Oncology, Neurology, and Surgery - alongside 24/7 emergency coverage. This is a place where specialists actually talk to each other.


Compensation

Competitive daily or hourly locum rate - commensurate with experience. Housing and travel assistance available. Flexible scheduling considered based on mutual availability.
