To thrive as an Hourly Lightning Protection Technician, you generally need a solid understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and relevant safety protocols, often supported by a high school diploma or technical training. Familiarity with tools like voltage testers, grounding equipment, and adherence to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards or UL certifications is typical. Attention to detail, effective teamwork, and strong problem-solving skills are crucial soft skills for this role.
