Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking an Architectural Lighting Designer.
Responsibilities:
* Develop lighting and control design concepts and strategies for interior and exterior environments
* Conduct luminaire and lighting control system research and selection appropriate to project goals
* Collaborate with architects, interior designers, landscape architects, owners, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle
* Manage lighting design components to ensure aesthetic intent, functional performance, budget adherence, and constructability
* Review and apply applicable standards, building codes, specifications, and sustainability principles to ensure compliant, high-quality project delivery
* Provide clear, accurate documentation and communication of design intent and project status
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Lighting Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering, or a related design discipline
* Minimum of 3 years of professional experience applying lighting design principles across a variety of interior and exterior space types
* Practical knowledge of luminaire and lamp types and their appropriate applications
* Working knowledge of lighting control systems and their integration into lighting designs
* Strong understanding of architectural, interior, and landscape design principles
* Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, AGi32, Bluebeam, and InDesign
* Familiarity with lighting industry vendors, equipment, and manufacturer representatives
* Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse project stakeholders
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Professional accreditation (LC, CLD) or active involvement with IALD and/or IES
* Strong 3D visualization and rendering skills using tools such as Enscape, Rhino, and V-Ray
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
