Order Picker
For a logistics and distribution facility based in Romeoville, IL, we are seeking an Order Picker to support full-time warehouse operations on site. This temporary position offers the opportunity to become permanent based on performance and business needs. The role focuses on accurate order picking, safe operation of a sit-down forklift, and consistent use of RF scanners to manage inventory and orders. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and involves heavy lifting and manual handling of products. What You Will Do?
Operate a sit-down forklift in a safe and controlled manner to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse as required for daily operations.
Use an RF scanner consistently to locate items, confirm picks, and support accurate inventory tracking and order fulfillment processes in the facility.
Perform order picking tasks with a focus on accuracy, ensuring the correct items, quantities, and locations are followed for each customer order processed.
Lift, carry, and move heavy items as part of daily warehouse activities, maintaining safe lifting practices and following established handling procedures.
Work collaboratively as a team player with supervisors and coworkers to meet production goals, support workflow, and maintain an organized work environment.
Your Skills
Demonstrate strong order picking accuracy, consistently selecting correct items and quantities based on instructions, labels, and system information provided.
Apply basic inventory management skills to help track stock levels, report discrepancies, and maintain organized storage locations using RF scanner tools.
Use manual dexterity to handle products, operate equipment controls, and manage scanning devices effectively while performing repetitive physical tasks.
Maintain attention to detail in all work steps, including verifying item codes, checking labels, and confirming counts to reduce errors in order processing.
Work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly in English and supporting colleagues to achieve daily warehouse and productivity targets.
