Position Summary

We are currently hiring a Custodian / Maintenance Technician to support the daily upkeep, cleanliness, and maintenance of our facility. This role is ideal for a dependable, hands-on professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment.


The Custodian / Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a combination of custodial and general maintenance duties, including preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and the upkeep of building systems such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components. This position also helps ensure that both interior and exterior areas remain clean, organized, and presentable at all times. In this role, you will respond to maintenance requests, assist with facility operations, manage tools and supplies, and provide day-to-day support to help maintain an efficient and professional environment for employees, tenants, and visitors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical repairs, and HVAC maintenance to ensure the building and systems operate efficiently and remain in good physical condition.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance to prevent the deterioration of building systems and ensure proper functioning of essential equipment.
  • Clean and repair building fixtures, including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters, drains, and appliances. Replace old or faulty parts, including burned-out light bulbs.
  • Assist with custodial and landscape tasks to maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the property.
  • Be on call for emergency duties when assigned and respond to urgent issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring availability for routine and emergency repairs.
  • Report any needed repairs or maintenance issues to the direct supervisor promptly.
  • Assist with basic and minor maintenance tasks for tenants, ensuring prompt resolution of issues at 1300 NE Henley Ct. Bldg.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of maintenance or custodial work, or equivalent experience in building maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various building systems.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical systems, and general construction practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • A valid driver's license for transportation to and from job sites.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
  • Proficient in performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks, ensuring proper functionality of building systems and fixtures.
