Inventory Clerk
JBS is seeking an hourly Inventory Clerk 1st Shift Team Member! Position starts at $22.50 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assumes responsibility for the accurate and timely performance of inventory/general accounting functions.
    • Processes daily production paperwork to track production yields.
    • Maintains inventory tracking spreadsheets for use within the company.
    • Creates and posts inventory assembly entries to the general ledger to relieve inventory and build items for billing.
    • Assists with the receipt of inventory items into the accounting software.
    • Reviews payroll records for accuracy and submits weekly hourly payroll to an outside payroll company.
    • Applies customer payments and reconciles cash receipts to deposit amounts before posting.
    • Performs accounting duties in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
  • Assumes responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving (or properly referring) accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
    • Researches and resolves production yield problems.
    • Researches and resolves inventory discrepancies regarding production.
    • Maintains and projects the company's professional reputation.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with company personnel and with management.
    • Assists Accounting Department personnel as needed.
    • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
    • Reports transactions that are outside established purchasing policies to the Controller.
    • Maintains regular contact with other departments to obtain information and/or to correct transactions.
    • Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
    • Performs general accounting duties as needed.
    • Maintains confidentiality.
    • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification
  • Additional bookkeeping courses preferred
  • Familiarity with accounting software and spreadsheets
  • At least two years of previous accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Two or more years of previous spreadsheet experience
  • Knowledge of Company policies regarding inventory and purchasing
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Strong math skills
  • Must be well-organized with good attention to detail
  • Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperatively with others
  • Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, instructions and to deal with problems involving a few different variables.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Additional qualifications as needed

Work Environment
  • Sedentary office work, sitting for long hours
  • Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
  • Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.
  • Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents, products, or operate machinery.
  • Must be able to exert 10 lbs. of force occasionally throughout the day.
  • Typical office environment, with no hazardous or significantly unpleasant working conditions.
