Job description

BrightStar Care Louisville has Immediate Need for WOW Private Duty Registered Nurses (RN) & Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in the Louisville KY area for Weekend Shifts (SAT & SUN 7AM-7PM or 7PM-7AM).  Full and Part time shifts for Weekend Days & Overnights (3rd shift) available with hourly incentive.

Hourly Pay RN: $30-$38 and LPN $25-$30 PLUS WOW Hourly Incentive of $5/hr added to the regular base pay opportunity

WOW hourly incentive of $5 extra per hour to the regular base pay

  • Must work all scheduled weekend shifts to qualify for the $5 extra per hour incentive
  • Minimum 24 weekend hours required for eligibility. 
  • Any call-offs result in loss of incentive; base pay only will apply

Requirements:

  • Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in Kentucky
  • Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
  • Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required with bedside care preferred 
  • Experience with g-tubes, trachs/vent and cath care preferred
  • Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
  • Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities:

  • Provide thoughtful care to client & patients based on personalized Plan of Care
  • Monitor and track changes in the client/patient’s conditions and needs, and keeps the Nurse Manager and any other appropriate personnel informed
  • Proactively updates client/patients’ family on plan of care, health changes, and concerns
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and organization skills needed

Salary: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour (Licensed Practical Nurse $25-30) & (Registered Nurse $32-38).  Note: compensation may vary based on skill, experience and location. 

Standard Weekend shift:
