Job description

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a permanent, full-time injection Molding Process Technician for 3rd Shift (10PM-6AM) at our Arlington, TX facility.

General Job Duties:

  • Basic troubleshooting of molding defects (flash, short shots, color contamination, etc...)
  • Basic troubleshooting of IMM
  • Perform Color Changes to production needs
  • Accurately record process parameters on Audit Sheets and or First Piece Sheets
  • Communicate with Quality Techs and IMM Operator regarding any defects
  • Inspect parts hourly for defects, mislabeling, and/or missing components
  • Maintain cycle standards and molding conditions of assigned presses
  • Notify the supervisor of any quality and/or molding problems
  • Perform startup and shut down procedures of molding presses
  • Check equipment for repairs and problems, notify supervisor and/or maintenance when they occur
  • Help maintain housekeeping and appearance of the assigned IMM areas
  • Assist in mold changes when required
  • Repair or assist with water leaks when required
  • Perform basic TPM on tools/molds as needed
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the lead person, supervisor, and/or department manager
  • Must be available to work overtime when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, skilled trades education a plus

    • 1 to 4 years of experience in Injection Molding operations or related technical experience
    • Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
    • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
    • Ability to follow safe work procedures and wear personal protective equipment at all times as required
    • Must be certified to operate a crane/hoist
    • Ability to work with minimum to no supervision

Physical Demands
Must be able to stand on feet and/or sit 8-12 hours a day and lift to 50lbs on an occasional basis and 15 lbs regularly. Must be able to perform overhead work as well as work below the waist.
