IMCO is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in the Treasure Valley area. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of heavy civil, industrial, and water/wastewater construction projects throughout the Boise region. The ideal candidate will have experience with structural steel fabrication and installation, carbon steel, and stainless-steel pipe welding, and working safely in active construction environments.

As a Welder at IMCO, you will play a key role in constructing and maintaining critical infrastructure projects while working alongside a skilled team of craft professionals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform structural steel welding, fitting, and fabrication.
  • Weld carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe in a variety of positions and configurations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, welding procedures, and specifications.
  • Assist with layout, fit-up, fabrication, and installation of structural and piping systems.
  • Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Work closely with superintendents, foremen, and other craft professionals to complete projects on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all company safety requirements.

Wage and Benefits

The full hourly range for this role is $35-$52 per hour. New hires generally start between $35-$46/hr to allow for growth and career progression.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience with structural steel welding and pipe welding required.
  • Experience in welding stainless steel is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of FCAW, SMAW, GTAW (TIG), and GMAW (MIG) welding processes preferred.
  • Current welding certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork.
