Experienced Process Mechanical Pipefitter

IMCO General Construction

Treasure Valley, ID ( Boise Area)


About the Position

IMCO General Construction is seeking a skilled Process Mechanical Pipefitter to join our team. This position requires a candidate who is comfortable working in the field, communicates professionally, and can read plans and specifications to install complete and functional mechanical systems.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly wage range $40-50 an hour, depending on experience and skill level
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage is available on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.
  • 401K match on eligible wages and available for eligible employees on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. IMCO offers 100% contribution matching up to 4% of the employee's eligible wages.


Responsibilities: This is a general overview and may not include all duties:

  • Cut, thread, assemble, and install piping systems
  • Install piping in hangers, brackets, and supports
  • Cut or drill penetrations in walls and floors for pipe routing
  • Assist with layout and installation of mechanical systems
  • Assemble pipe using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints
  • Secure piping systems using appropriate tools and hardware
  • Install supports, sleeves, and inserts for piping systems
  • Fit and install large-diameter piping


Location & commitments

  • Project Location: various projects in the Treasure Valley area
  • No relocation assistance and no company-sponsored housing available.
  • 8-10-hour shifts
  • Overtime may be available
  • Evening/weekend work may be necessary to meet milestones


Requirements and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as an industrial mechanical pipefitter (residential or commercial plumbing is not considered qualified experience)
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Strong math skills for field layout and installation
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (8+ hours/day)
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs regularly
  • Comfortable working at heights and performing overhead work
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
  • Pre-employment background check
  • All employees are required to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening, including testing for THC. In addition, IMCO maintains a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy and conducts random drug screenings throughout employment. Employees selected through a neutral, random selection process will be required to participate in testing in accordance with company policy.
