Job description

About Radicle

Radicle Development Center is a hands-on engineering and fabrication company in Malvern, PA. We support customers with precision sheet metal fabrication, laser welding, prototype builds, mechanical assemblies, and practical engineering support.

We work with startups, advanced hardware companies, and industrial customers who need high-quality work, fast turnaround, and creative problem solving.

This is not a repetitive production-line job. We build real hardware, custom parts, prototypes, and assemblies in a fast-moving shop environment.

About the Role

We are looking for a full-time Hands-On Manufacturing Trainee to join our growing team.

No manufacturing experience is required. We will train the right person.

This role is a great fit for someone who is dependable, highly motivated, good with their hands, and excited to learn. You do not need prior sheet metal, CNC, welding, or fabrication experience to be successful here.

The most important things are strong work ethic, reliability, attention to detail, a good attitude, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Nontraditional Backgrounds Welcome

Some of our best team members came from nontraditional backgrounds before joining Radicle. We are very open to candidates who may not have a typical manufacturing resume.

This role may be a good fit if you have experience or interest in:

  • Working on cars, bikes, motorcycles, or mechanical projects
  • Woodworking, construction, landscaping, art fabrication, 3D printing, or maker projects
  • Restaurant, retail, warehouse, military, volunteer, or other fast-paced work
  • Trade school, technical school, community college, or a recent career change
  • Science, technology, engineering, design, or other hands-on problem-solving backgrounds
  • No formal experience, but a strong desire to learn and build real things

Prior manufacturing experience is welcome, but not required.

What You Will Do

You will be trained to support precision fabrication and assembly work, including:

  • Deburring, countersinking, bead blasting, and finishing precision sheet metal parts
  • Preparing completed parts for shipment
  • Using calipers, tape measures, and basic inspection tools
  • Performing mechanical assembly using hand tools and power tools
  • Supporting CNC laser cutting, turret punch, press brake, and robotic laser welding operations
  • Assisting with material handling and general shop support
  • Keeping the shop clean, safe, organized, and moving efficiently
  • Following quality standards and safety procedures
What We Are Looking For

The right person for this role is someone who:

  • Has a strong work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Enjoys hands-on work
  • Wants to learn new skills
  • Has a positive attitude
  • Can follow instructions and pay attention to detail
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment
  • Is willing to help wherever needed
  • Takes pride in doing good work
  • Can stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Has a high school diploma or equivalent
Why Join Radicle?
  • Learn advanced fabrication equipment that most shops do not offer
  • Work on real prototype hardware and custom builds
  • Receive direct hands-on training from a small, experienced team
  • Build practical skills for a long-term manufacturing career
  • Gain exposure to CNC fabrication, laser welding, assembly, inspection, and engineering builds
  • Opportunity for growth based on performance
Compensation & Benefits

Pay range: $18–$25/hour, based on experience and fit.

Benefits include:

  • Medical insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Prescription drug insurance
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid time off
  • Growth opportunities within a growing fabrication and engineering business
Additional Requirements

This position requires U.S. Person status under U.S. export control regulations, including U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents / Green Card holders, and certain other qualifying persons.
