AES a division of Lennox, was established in 1988 and is one of the largest manufacturers of roof curbs and drop box diffuser systems in the nation. We have recently expanded our capabilities as a single source supplier by adding a Mechanical Services Division as well as becoming a Misc. Steel manufacturer.  These new services will reduce construction costs and eliminate coordination with multiple suppliers and subcontractors.  Our focus will be to enhance the services provided to our General Contractor network nationwide.  AES has 4 different fabrication facility locations nationwide to assist our customers and reduce their freight cost and shipment lead time

What Drives Success

A Welder for Lennox AES at our Weatherford, TX location is a skilled position responsible for performing welding tasks with precision and expertise. They work with various materials, such as galvanized steel and aluminum, interpret blueprints, and ensure the quality and integrity of our products (roof curbs, drop boxes, etc.).

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Fabricate custom and standard products from blueprints with high attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Communicate with shop manager and engineering on product issues and assist with streamlining methods for production.
  • MIG weld 10-to-20-gauge galvanized steel for adapters, curbs, and other products.
  • Conduct visual inspections of welded components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and successful project completion.
  • Under direct supervision, spot welds together metal components.
What We Are Looking For
  • Familiar with safe welding practices.
  • Capable of learning to read fabrication drawings with some instruction.
  • Capable of welding 10-to-20-gauge galvanized steel. (Can be taught)
  • Must be physically capable of loading fabrication parts onto the weld table.
  • Capable of blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
  • Individual must be a self-starter and need minimal guidance on daily task.
  • Must be quality oriented with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, diagrams
  • Individual must have a working knowledge of MIG welding machines with respect to preventive maintenance and control settings to obtain maximum efficiencies.
  • Able to move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred: Trade school or certification in welding.
  • Required: 1-year previous MIG welding experience.
  • Able to work with a positive attitude and in a team setting.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
What We Offer

Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role is $20/hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).

Benefits: Subject to applicable eligibility requirements, the following benefits are offered for this role: tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short-term disability insurance; 8 weeks paid birthing leave; 2 weeks paid bonding leave; life and long-term disability insurance.

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 10 days paid time off, 10 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
