About the Role

An established kitchen and bath dealer is looking for a Service Tech/Installer II with 2+ years of experience who can work on a team or solo.

The primary responsibilities for this position are job completion tasks, 2nd trips, on-site modifications, and shop builds.

We provide cabinets for builders, remodel contractors, and DIY homeowners. Most of our jobs involve 5 or more rooms with cabinets and require multiple trips to complete. This position is for an installer/tech with the skill and mindset to deliver move-in-ready work — every job, every day, taken to the maximum point of completion within the timeline.

Main Tasks

  • Install crown, riser, barrier, light rail, toe kick, and base molding
  • Reinstall and adjust cabinet doors, drawers, and drawer fronts
  • Install cabinet hardware
  • Install cabinet inserts and accessories
  • Prep sink bases for apron sinks or farm sinks
  • Fill nail holes and perform onsite touch-ups
  • Assemble cabinets and install 1⁄4" and veneer finished sides
  • Remove toe kicks, field-cut toe kicks, or cut angle clips on cabinet boxes
  • Caulk seams and joints
  • Install and scribe box and overlay fillers, and scribe to ceiling
  • Build and install mirror frames
  • Install tower cabinets on countertops
  • Install wood hoods and prep liners and motors for installation
  • Cut outs for ovens, microwaves, coffee machines, and other appliances
  • Install floating shelves and cut out light channels
  • Cut outs for custom lighting products
  • Complete vanity, laundry, bar, and other secondary room installations
  • Serve as 2nd installer in large rooms under the direction of the lead installer
  • Install single bathrooms or other small add-on jobs
  • Perform general service and final punch on full projects
  • Complete warranty service calls after closing
  • Assist with other field activities as needed by the logistics supervisor

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 75+ lbs
  • Must be able to climb ladders
  • Must be able to walk and work on uneven terrain

Requirements

  • 2+ years of cabinet installation/service experience
  • Reliable transportation you can work out of
  • Basic hand tools, drills, screw guns, and a jigsaw (we prefer you work with tools you're familiar with, as long as they're safe and in good repair)
  • Background check and drug screening if applicable

What We Provide

  • Supplies such as caulking, shims, touch-up kits, screws, hardware, rags, polish, etc.
  • Some specialty tools as needed
  • Mileage reimbursement at the current IRS vehicle expense rate for work miles (not including travel to and from the office or its equivalent)

For Licensed & Insured Subcontractors

Subcontractors are invited to apply. Please include the following with your application:

  • License(s)
  • Liability insurance
  • Workers' comp insurance (or exemption)
  • Hourly service rate sheet
