Job description

Locum Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner

North Memorial is looking for a locum Occupational Health NP to start as soon as credentialed. Nature of work: Assessment of work-related injuries and illnesses. Documentation of work injuries and start the workers comp & return to work process. Preplacement health assessments & exams Signoff on Lab/Radiology orders. (Orders are placed through Agility. Results viewed through Epic) DOT Physicals (Must be DOT Certified) Support to TMH Staff Onsite Required EMR – Agility & Epic for orders Work schedule & duration: 3 days per week – 8 hour days. (Preference: M,W,TH) Willing to be flexible on days depending on need and time of year (example; may need to add extra days for flu shot clinic) Estimated need 6-8 months. Start date – as soon as possible to assist in transition. Current provider last day is October 27th. North Memorial does not reimburse for credentialing costs or application fees.

Submission requirements: Prefer an NP for occupational health care. Experienced in occupational health: Must have 5-7 years occupational health experience. Required: Must be DOT Certified (conducting DOT Physicals) Prefer infectious disease/infection prevention experience/knowledge OSHA record keeping knowledge. Prefer workers comp experience/knowledge. Even better is MN specific workers comp knowledge. Prefer healthcare/hospital experience over manufacturing. NP specific: Prefer COHN (Certified Occupational Health Nurse) MD specific: Prefer COEM (Certified Occupational & Environmental Medicine) MN license: Preferred BLS: Required Local provider: Highly preferred Certification requirements: BLS State license requirements: Minnesota
