Job description

The Financial Analyst supports IPT Leadership, the Finance team, and Team Leads by managing financial processes, coordinating funding actions, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across the IPT.

Responsibilities

Update financial dashboards on a weekly basis
Provide support to IPT BFMs
Coordinate with the BFM team for all funds acceptance, both reimbursable and direct cite, including creating project structures and NWAs in NERP for new funds received
Populate and route FDAs for IPT and 1.0 review and signature
Create project cost estimates, communicate scheduled funding request plans with sponsors, complete funds acceptance with the IPT BFM, and create/maintain spend plans for the IPT alongside team leadership
Ensure all funding received has an associated spend plan using the latest template, and work with team leads to capture regular forecast updates
Ensure spend plan data is aggregated and ingested into the PowerBI data model for crossproject views of labor allocation and planned versus actual expenditure
Support command data calls with information on obligation authority, projected monthly expenditures, and carryover projections
Support service PR actions by providing NWA and funding document information needed to award contract modifications

Required Qualifications

Experience supporting financial management, budget formulation, or funds acceptance processes
Familiarity with NERP or comparable financial/enterprise management systems
Ability to create, manage, and update project cost estimates and spend plans
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and projections
Experience developing or maintaining dashboards, reports, or data visualizations
Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to track and manage multiple concurrent funding actions and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting DoD financial management or working within NIWC Atlantic or similar organizations
Familiarity with IPT financial workflows, NWA creation, FDA routing, and reimbursable/direct cite funding processes
Experience working with Power BI data models or other advanced analytics platforms
Prior experience supporting commandlevel data calls or expenditure forecasting
Understanding of project lifecycle financial requirements, including labor allocation and planned vs. actual expenditure tracking
Experience supporting PR actions, contract modifications, or funding documentation packages

Salary:75k+ dependent on education and experience
