Who: An established and growing construction-focused organization is seeking an experienced finance leader to oversee all accounting and financial operations.

What: Lead the accounting and finance function while providing strategic financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and business analysis to support continued company growth.

When: This is an immediate full-time leadership opportunity for a qualified finance executive.

Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance & Accounting to lead all accounting operations while providing financial leadership, planning, and analysis to support a growing construction-related business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end close processes.

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial models.

  • Oversee job costing, project accounting, profitability analysis, and operational reporting.

  • Partner with executive and operations leadership to drive strategic financial decisions.

  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.

  • Experience in residential construction, homebuilding, commercial construction, real estate development, or a related industry.

  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.

  • Advanced Excel skills with experience in job costing, project accounting, and financial leadership.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA preferred.

  • CPA preferred but not required.

  • Previous experience as a Director of Finance, Controller, or Finance Director.

  • Experience working within privately held or entrepreneurial organizations.

  • Experience with construction ERP systems and project accounting software.
