Job Title: Data Analyst
Our Vision: RigUp is where the best workers power the world's most successful projects. We are united by a common mission: to deliver services and technology that fundamentally change how skilled workers and the businesses they serve get hard work done.
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented entry-level Land, Regulatory & Engineering Analyst to support a variety of functions across land, regulatory, and engineering operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in developing a broad understanding of the oil and gas industry, particularly someone with an educational background in land (land management/land administration), environmental science, engineering, or a related field. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, possesses strong analytical skills, and enjoys working in a collaborative office environment.
This role offers exposure to multiple disciplines and provides opportunities to gain hands-on experience supporting land administration, regulatory compliance, data analysis, and engineering-related activities. The position requires working in the office at least three days per week and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the collection, organization, and maintenance of land, regulatory, and operational records.
  • Support preparation and submission of regulatory filings, reports, and documentation.
  • Review and analyze data related to leases, permits, wells, production, and other operational activities.
  • Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and tracking systems to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in researching regulatory requirements and monitoring compliance deadlines.
  • Support land-related activities, including document review, ownership tracking, and records management.
  • Compile reports, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with land, regulatory, engineering, and operations personnel to gather and validate information.
  • Assist with engineering data management, analysis, and project support as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality, and reporting efficiency.
  • Perform other analytical and administrative duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in land management/administration (or related land degree), environmental science, engineering (petroleum, chemical, mechanical, civil, or related), energy management, geology, business, GIS, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and develop knowledge across land, regulatory, and engineering functions.
  • Ability to work in an office environment at least three days per week.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Entry-level experience such as internship, coursework, or academic project experience related to the oil and gas, energy, or natural resources industry.
  • Exposure to land administration, regulatory compliance, GIS, engineering, or data analysis.
  • Familiarity with industry terminology, permitting processes, or production operations.
  • Experience working with databases, reporting tools, or data management systems.
  • Engineering coursework or practical engineering experience is a plus.

Key Attributes:
  • Curious and eager to learn.
  • Self-motivated and dependable.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Comfortable working across multiple disciplines and departments.
  • Interested in building a long-term career within the energy industry.
