For over a decade we’ve delivered large‑scale solar and energy storage projects that support energy security, decarbonization, and sustainable growth. In 2024, Lightsource bp became fully owned by bp, strengthening our ability to deliver clean energy projects at global scale.

Join a team focused on building the infrastructure needed for the energy transition.

The Role

Lightsource bp is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of large-scale solar projects from construction through commissioning and close‑out.

This role is responsible for managing EPC contractors, project budgets, schedules, and cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

The Senior Project Manager will work closely with engineering, procurement, permitting, and executive leadership while managing both remote and on‑site project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project budgets, schedules, risk, and contract performance
  • Oversee EPC contractors, subcontractors, and consultants
  • Ensure compliance with permits, regulatory requirements, and environmental commitments
  • Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams on system design, RFIs, submittals, and long‑lead equipment
  • Support negotiation and administration of EPC contracts, change orders, and claims management
  • Work with utilities and transmission authorities to support interconnection agreements and grid integration
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulators, authorities, and project stakeholders
  • Provide weekly and monthly project reporting to senior leadership
  • Build and lead high‑performing project teams focused on safety, quality, and delivery
  • Manage project close‑out, punch lists, and handover to Asset Management and Operations
What You’ll Bring Experience

  • Demonstrated experience delivering large‑scale infrastructure or energy projects
  • Strong background managing EPC contractors and construction teams
  • Experience with substations, grid interconnection, and utility coordination
  • Proven ability to manage multi‑million‑dollar project budgets and schedules
Skills & Knowledge
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, electrical diagrams, and construction plans
  • Strong financial management and forecasting skills
  • Experience managing complex construction subcontracts
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership capabilities
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project
  • Spanish language skills are a plus
We Offer
  • Competitive compensation: $160,000 – $180,000 annually plus a 20% annual bonus
  • Health, dental, prescription, and vision care for US team members starting on your first day of employment with zero premiums for employee‑only coverage
  • Four weeks of vacation and three weeks of sick leave annually plus 11 paid holidays
  • 401(k) plan with a 3% nonelective employer contribution
  • Hybrid working environment (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in office; Monday and Friday remote)
