Position: Project Construction Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for:

  • Manage Project construction through all phases to ensure quality and achieve Total Customer Satisfaction
  • Schedule employees, contractors, subcontractors, and delivery dates for materials
  • Ensure all building codes and permitting standards
  • Conduct walk-through inspections
  • Communicate safety standards to laborers and sub-contractors; enforces safety regulations on ALL job sites
  • Maintain clean and organized jobsites, company assets, company vehicles and rental company equipment
  • Interact daily professionally with various departments of company, subcontractors, Customers, Buyers, Suppliers, Vendors, Inspectors, Owners
  • Attend and participate and contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings and conference calls
  • Completes projects in line with requirements, within budget, and on time.
  • Understand scope of work to bid, quote, follow through and fulfill
  • Work with suppliers to know the product availability and communicate pricing and availability to the project team.
  • Ensure margin/profit objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Must have a regular work attendance / excellent work attendance
  • Have a good work ethic and availability to work
  • Ensure Technicians, Vendors, and Subcontractors follow customer requirements for job scopes
  • Prepare documentation, correspondence, records, and paperwork
  • Control project start, process, and close out.
  • Open communication with management and employees.
  • Compile cost estimates, quotes and other financial requirements
  • Coordinate, plan, and manage schedules for contractors and subcontractors
  • Develop construction project with architect, engineers, and trade workers
  • Order and manage materials and equipment
  • Provide internal reporting and projections for inventory
  • Oversee and supervise construction project progress and provide reports on timeline, progress, and adjustments
  • Ensure all legal requirements, building & safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met
  • Performs other assignments as assigned by Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management (or related field) strongly preferred but not required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of high-volume production construction experience
  • Advanced training in one or more trades within the construction industry strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of facility maintenance, commercial services, and construction systems/processes, building codes and industry standards
  • Must be able to read blueprints to maintain quality control and inspect all aspects of construction including demolition, framing, masonry, stucco installations, glass, general, electrical, lighting, plumbing, catastrophic, emergency response etc.
  • Excellent Customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge and use of a wide range of hand tools, power tools and equipment
  • Ability to explain complex issues to others in a manner easily understood by both associates in the industry and customers with limited and thorough knowledge of construction processes and terminology
  • Excellent problem/conflict resolution skills, ability to handle and diffuse difficult situations and customer concerns in a positive manner
  • Must have construction or remodeling/renovation supervisory experience (5 year minimum)
  • Strong working knowledge of and practical experience with a range of hand and power tools

Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to anticipate tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, balance various demands, and function smoothly under deadlines and priorities.
