Electrical Application EngineerPosition Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Application Engineer to support the design, integration, and continuous improvement of industrial production systems and related equipment. This role will be responsible for electrical system design, instrumentation, automation support, and field troubleshooting while working closely with controls, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure reliable and safe system performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics for 24VDC control systems and 480VAC power systems.

  • Design and support electrical systems, instrumentation, sensors, actuators, VFDs, and associated field devices.

  • Collaborate with controls engineers to support system integration, I/O architecture, and automation functionality.

  • Perform electrical reviews, troubleshooting, commissioning, FAT activities, and I/O checks.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety requirements, including UL standards.

  • Support the development and implementation of new production equipment, process improvements, and test concepts.

  • Maintain electrical documentation, drawings, operating procedures, and technical manuals.

  • Coordinate with electrical equipment vendors, panel suppliers, and instrumentation providers.

  • Provide technical support to field service and maintenance teams for electrical and controls-related issues.

  • Utilize PLM systems and engineering tools to manage documentation and support cross-functional project execution.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience supporting industrial equipment, automation systems, manufacturing facilities, or process systems.

  • Strong understanding of electrical design, instrumentation, sensors, actuators, motors, VFDs, and control system interfaces.

  • Experience creating and maintaining electrical schematics and technical documentation.

  • Knowledge of industrial electrical standards, codes, and compliance requirements.

  • Experience supporting commissioning, troubleshooting, and system startup activities.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and field service teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.

  • Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems.

  • Exposure to high-level programming or software development.

  • Experience working with PLM systems and engineering document control processes.

  • Experience supporting international or multi-site industrial projects.

Technical Skills
  • Electrical system design (24VDC and 480VAC).

  • Instrumentation and automation systems.

  • Control systems and I/O architecture.

  • Electrical CAD software.

  • PLM systems.

  • Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and passport.

  • Ability to travel as required.
