Job description

DFW Security has been protecting Dallas/Fort Worth businesses for over 30 years with commercial intrusion and fire alarms, access control, cameras, and monitoring. We’re growing fast and looking for skilled Commercial Alarm Technicians who want steady work, competitive pay, and a company that has their back in the field. Company truck take home daily. 
If you take pride in clean installs, solid troubleshooting, and doing the job right the first time, this is for you.
What You’ll Do

  • Install, program, and troubleshoot commercial alarm, access control, and camera systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system layouts
  • Use CRM software and iPads for job details, documentation, and closeouts
  • Work in new construction and existing buildings across the DFW Metroplex
  • Partner with a team of technicians and office staff to complete projects on time
  • Start each day at DFW Security HQ to pick up staged equipment and materials, then
  • Drive your company vehicle home daily after the workday
What You’ll Bring

  • At least 1 year of experience in security, surveillance, access control, or commercial alarm systems
  • Experience with platforms like DSC, Qolsys, and Alarm.com is a plus
  • Ability to climb ladders, work in ceilings/attics, and perform physical tasks as needed
  • Comfortable working in commercial environments (offices, warehouses, retail, etc.)
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean, professional work ethic
  • High school diploma or GED

Pay & Career Path

Hourly pay: $25–$50/hr, based on experience, certifications, and skill level.
  • $25–$34/hr – Solid techs with 1–3+ years in alarms/cameras/access control who can handle most installs and service with minimal supervision.
  • $35–$44/hr – Strong senior-level techs with 4–6+ years of commercial experience, comfortable leading jobs, mentoring others, and handling complex troubleshooting.
  • $45–$50/hr – Highly skilled, highly experienced technicians (typically 7+ years) in commercial alarm, fire, access control, and video systems, with advanced programming, integration, and leadership capabilities.
Final compensation will be based on your experience, skills, licenses/certifications, and ability to lead complex commercial jobs.
