Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Java Developer in Coppell, TX.
Responsibilities:
* Senior Java Developer will design, develop, test, and support scalable enterprise applications and services
* Translate business and functional requirements into effective technical solutions
* Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and application integrations
* Develop high-quality, reusable, and performance-focused code following engineering best practices
* Participate in application architecture, design reviews, and technical solution development
* Create and execute unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure software quality
* As a Senior Java Developer, you will troubleshoot defects, resolve production issues, and support application stability
* Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and DevOps initiatives
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment
* Mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* 8+ years of experience developing enterprise software applications
* Strong experience with Java, object-oriented programming, and modern application frameworks
* Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and distributed applications
* Experience with automated testing, code quality practices, and production support
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, and DevOps practices
* Experience leading development efforts and mentoring junior engineers
* Knowledge of application architecture, system integrations, and software design principles
* Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and modern deployment methodologies
* Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
