Job description

Our team is growing and we are looking for an experienced Audio-Visual Installation Technician to join one of the top AV companies in Metro Detroit. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AV professional who is passionate about the industry, takes pride in delivering high-quality work, and is ready to lead installation crews on a wide variety of commercial audio-visual projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate installation crews on commercial AV projects
  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot professional audio-visual systems
  • Read and interpret system drawings, wiring diagrams, and project documentation
  • Coordinate daily installation activities with project managers, customers, and other trades
  • Maintain high standards for workmanship, organization, and jobsite safety
  • Mentor and provide direction to entry-level technicians
  • Identify field issues and communicate recommended solutions
  • Ensure projects are completed efficiently and in accordance with company standards


Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of professional audio-visual installation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead an installation crew
  • Strong knowledge of commercial audio, video, and structured cabling systems
  • Ability to read construction drawings, AV plans, and signal-flow diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Professional communication and customer-service skills
  • Valid driver’s license and a dependable driving record
  • CTS certification is preferred but not required
