JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Professor Makaroff is seeking a temporary Research Associate to coordinate joint computational and experimental work with Harvard University

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

Coordination of WPI-MGH joint computational and experimental research work with Professor Fried and his team on activation/inhibition of cortical neurons by magnetic microstimulation (micro-coils). Simulation of coil fields in a dense cellular environment.

Requirements:

Biomedical engineer with knowledge of neuronal activation and interactions including synaptic activation. Knowledge of NEURON software is a plus.

Compensation:
Hourly pay rate: $35.00 per hour. This is a hybrid, 15 hour per week position until the end of August 2026.
