Cloud Architect Consultant 3 - (AWS, Terraform, GitLab)

Clearance: TS/SCI - Polygraph required

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Description:

Supports PAC hybrid computing efforts by providing recommendations and advice regarding the design and architecture of the agency’s cloud-based hybrid computing environment.

Tasks include understanding the government’s cloud computing objectives and the implementing contractor’s plans and approach, and providing recommendations to support the Government’s adoption of, migration to or governance/management of Cloud computing, Cloud DevOps, and other Cloud oriented activities.

Position Required Skills:

  • Create and lead the DevOps AWS based platform used to migrate COTS products from on-prem to WandS
  • Create Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, OpenTofu, etc)
  • Create GitLab Runner and CI/CD pipelines to be used by Infrastructure and Development teams
  • Create the patterns and best practices to be used by Development teams
  • Implement metrics and monitoring via AWS CloudWatch
  • Familiarity with AWS Serverless components: Step Functions, Lambda Functions, S3 storage

CAC3 Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or GED plus twenty (20) years of IT experience.

A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus fifteen (15) years of IT experience of which five (5) years must be in the Cloud environment.

A Master’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus ten (10) years of IT experience.

A PhD in a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of IT experience.

Salary Range: **$268k-$328k (Annually)

**The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
