Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Business & Functional Analysis

  • Engage climate business stakeholders, operational teams, data teams, and IT partners to gather and document detailed business and functional requirements
  • Conduct assessment sessions to understand climate business processes, compliance obligations, analytics and reporting needs, and user experience goals
  • Analyze existing Climate Portal functionality and integrations with upstream and downstream systems
  • Map end-to-end climate-related workflows, data flows, and datasets

Assessment & Impact Analysis

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of Climate Portal architecture, integrations, data pipelines, and functional components
  • Conduct impact analysis across IT ecosystem for proposed enhancements and new capabilities
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality, scalability, and overall user experience in alignment with climate strategy

Requirements Documentation

  • Develop high-quality documentation including:
    • Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
    • Functional Specification Documents (FSDs)
    • Process flows and data mappings
    • Epics, capabilities, features, and user stories
  • Ensure requirements align with climate standards, reporting frameworks, andย SAFe Agileย practices

Agile Collaboration & Delivery Support

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies as required, including PI Planning, backlog refinement, and sprint planning
  • Collaborate with onsite and offshore delivery teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Provide continuous clarification and support throughout implementation

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Assist in defining test scenarios, test data, and validation criteria
  • Validate delivered functionality against approved requirements and support business user acceptance

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide recommendations aligned with industry best practices for climate and sustainability digital solutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager

Required Skills & Experience

Education & Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experienceย as a Business Analyst in enterprise-scale IT environments
  • Experience working on large, complex systems using Agile delivery models

Domain & Functional Expertise

  • Experience inย Finance, Sustainability, Climate Business, or ESG-related IT systemsย (preferred)
  • Exposure toย Paris Alignment, Climate Risk, Climate Finance, or GHG assessmentsย is a strong plus
  • Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, gap analysis, process modeling, integration analysis, and data-driven functional design

Agile & Tools

  • Strong experience working within theย SAFe Agile Framework
  • Hands-on experience creating epics, capabilities, features, and user stories
  • Familiarity withย Azure DevOps Boardsย for requirements and test management (preferred)
