The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding a Supply Chain Coordinator to our growing Supply Chain division in Austin, TX

If you enjoy collaborating with a team, have strong attention to detail, and aspire to work in the construction supply chain field, this may be a perfect position for you. The Supply Chain Coordinator performs a variety of complex assignments in support of logistics scheduling, warehouse, and job site support.

In this role, you will gain an understanding of multiple parts of the business at McKinstry. You will schedule trucks and shipments covering everything from standard LTL/FTL and ground shipments to large oversize units shipping anywhere in the US. Strong communication will take you far in this role while working with staff and outside vendors and managing the flow of information to internal stakeholders. Some additional responsibilities include:

  • Perform support activities to support all aspects of the Supply Chain division as directed by Warehouse Manager.
  • May purchase parts, tools, and materials as directed.
  • Provide data input and/or operation as part of the existing Supply Chain processes.
  • Communicate with internal staff and outside vendors as appropriate.
  • Work with Supply Chain leadership to establish/implement necessary procedures and process improvements.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • Excellent communication and writing skills required.
  • Two (2) years coordination or administrative experience in a logistics, trucking, warehouse, construction, or manufacturing environment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite- Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Logistics, scheduling, or outbound shipping coordinator experience is preferred.

The pay range for this position is $24.36 - $39.28 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This is a non-exempt role and will be paid hourly. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
