Job description

A healthcare organization operating 340B pharmacies is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to provide interim leadership in New York, NY, and California. This contract role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with multiple state licenses who can step in promptly when a PIC position becomes vacant due to resignation.
Location:

  • Onsite in New York, NY or California (location depends on emergency need)
Duration:
  • 3 to 6 months
Schedule:
  • Day and afternoon shifts
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing pharmacy operations in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage staff, workflow, and ensure accurate dispensing of medications
  • Maintain standards of safety and quality for pharmacy services
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and ensure proper documentation and reporting
  • Support the 340B drug pricing program administration and compliance
Desired Qualifications:
  • Active pharmacist licenses in multiple states from the following list: AK, AL, AR, CA, IA, ID, IL, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MS, NE, NV, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA, and WV (candidates with the greatest number of these licenses preferred)
  • Previous experience as Pharmacist in Charge or in a supervisory pharmacy role
  • Familiarity with 340B program requirements and pharmacy regulatory compliance
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Willingness and flexibility to work onsite in either New York or California as required
