Overnight Hotline Case Manager

Part Time Hourly Troy, NY, US

(Position eligible for a pro-rated sign-on bonus 32 hours = $1062.50)

Hours are:

Saturday – Sunday 9:00PM – 8:00AM

Monday 10:00PM-8:00AM

32 hours per week

Unity House of Troy is seeking a compassionate and dependable Overnight Hotline Case Manager to join our Domestic & Sexual Violence Shelter team. This position plays a vital role in providing a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment for survivors of domestic violence during overnight hours.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Ensure the safe and secure operation of the Domestic Violence Emergency Shelter during overnight hours.
  • Carry out program routines, site monitoring, light housekeeping, and facility maintenance tasks.
  • Answer and respond to the Unity House Domestic Violence Hotline, the New York State Domestic Violence Hotline, and the New York State Sexual Assault/PREA Hotline.
  • Provide compassionate, victim-centered, and trauma-informed support to shelter residents.
  • Conduct crisis intervention, safety planning, and emotional support for individuals experiencing domestic violence.
  • Connect residents with appropriate community resources and complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain confidential participant records and complete program paperwork in accordance with agency and funding requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure continuity of care between shifts.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, belonging, and respect for all participants and staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Human Services or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with survivors of domestic violence or a similar vulnerable population.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and victim advocacy preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, remain calm in crisis situations, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Valid New York State Driver License and reliable transportation required.
  • Bilingual/Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
