Housed in a beautifully restored 1920s building, our hotel offers 54 stylish guest rooms, an elevated rooftop bar, O Bar, with sweeping city views, and The Chalkboard, an upscale American bistro experience. Curators at the Ambassador OKC take pride in delivering exceptional service and personalized experiences, all while working in a vibrant, culture-driven environment that encourages growth and creativity.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Greeting and receiving customers with the highest quality customer service. Responsibilities include parking guest cars, assisting with luggage and belongings, and providing transportation in the Company vehicle. After parking the vehicle, the valet attendant will runback to their station and be prepared to assist the next patron.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • There are two different Valet Station locations, and our Valet associates may be scheduled at either location.
  • Directs traffic of vehicles at hotel or restaurant entrance. Secures taxis/transportation for guests/visitors.
  • Assists guests with luggage.
  • Parks guest vehicles and secures vehicle. Safely and securely parks the customer car and provides the fastest possible return time.
  • Responsible for recording the guest's information on the valet ticket and the location/parking spot the car was parked. Must use the correct color of ticket (white for hotel, green for restaurant and blue for event) and properly advise the guest of any associated charge.
  • Returns rental vehicles for guests.
  • Completes errands/deliveries for guests.
  • Answers questions about the hotel or restaurant and surrounding areas.
  • Transports guests to various areas in the Company vehicle within a 5-mile radius of the hotel.
  • Provides gracious and professional service in an efficient manner. Perform all job duties toward the goal of maximizing guest service.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner with the awareness that all actions and communications are within guest view.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uniform standards.
  • Responds graciously to guest service issues and reports the situation to management.
  • Remembers that safety is always first. Runs fast but drive slowly.
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the manager. Furthermore, tasks and responsibilities may be added or revised based on the volume of business and the need for the work to be completed at the present time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR)
  • Able to drive stick shift transmission. Able to drive all types of vehicles.
  • Thorough knowledge of local areas and roads.
  • 3 years' experience driving vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of the English language.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writing.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.

PHYICAL DEMANDS
  • Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds.
  • Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 250 pounds.
  • Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4-hours in length.
  • Running up to 500 yards, up to 50+ times a day or more.
  • Entering and exiting customers vehicles up to 50 or more times daily
  • Willing to work outside in all types of weather. Shifts will not be cancelled due to inclement weather and all associates will be required to attend their scheduled shifts.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Previous valet, and/or customer service experience preferred.

REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
  • Comfortable, closed toe, non-skid shoes.
  • Mut have a clean driving record and have reached nineteenth (19th) birthday
  • With no more than one moving violation over a 2-year period
  • Must pass annual MVR screen.
