Job Summary: We are looking for Hotel Restaurant Servers to join our team. You will be responsible for providing outstanding and unforgettable dining experience by delivering exceptional service, taking accurate food and drink orders, and ensuring guest satisfaction. You will work closely with the kitchen, bar, and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless and efficient service while upholding MacArthur Place's high hospitality standards. Key Responsibilities:
What You'll Do:
Guest Service & Hospitality
  • Welcome guests warmly, escort them to tables, and provide menus.
  • Explain menu items, daily specials, and make recommendations.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them efficiently.
  • Ensure guests' needs are met, including refills and special dietary requests.
  • Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction.

Order Management & Delivery
  • Enter orders into the hotel's POS system correctly and efficiently.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while following proper etiquette.
  • Ensure all dishes are delivered at the correct temperature with proper presentation.
  • Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues if needed.

Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow servers for seamless service and to ensure food is served at the right temperature, presentation, and in the correct order.
  • Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen personnel regarding any order modifications, special requests or allergies.
  • Alert the kitchen and management of any delays in food preparation or service issues.
  • Assist food runners and bussers in delivering and clearing plates.
  • Support teammates during peak hours to maintain smooth operations.
  • Communicate with the hotel front desk regarding reservations and special requests.

Table Maintenance & Cleanliness
  • Set up tables with polished silverware, clean linens, and arranged dishware.
  • Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintain clean and organized service stations and stocked with condiments, utensils, and napkins.
  • Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation regulations, including proper handling of hot dishes and allergens.
  • Adhere to restaurant policies regarding hygiene, personal appearance, and safety protocols.

Payment & Billing
  • Present checks, process payments, and handle hotel room charges.
  • Manage split checks, discounts, and gratuities according to hotel policies.

Hotel & Brand Standards Compliance
  • Adhere to hotel grooming and uniform standards, maintaining a polished appearance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Comply with company policies to include time and attendance, meal and rest breaks, uniform standards, professionalism, and code of conduct.
  • Uphold MacArthur Place's luxury service standards.
  • Maintain professionalism and a guest-first attitude.

What We're Looking For:
  • Prior restaurant serving experience preferred (hotel or fine dining is a plus).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to top-tier service.
  • Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, and lift/carry trays up to 40 lbs. for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen handling.

  • Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting/carrying as part of daily responsibilities.
