Job Description:

Registered Sleep Technologist - Schedule: Wednesday Thursday Friday Shift are 7pm to 7am. 36 hours a week full time.

Sleep Lab is open 7 days a week.

Who We Are:

Elliot Sleep Lab is located at the Homewood Suites Hotel in Manchester, NH. We have a secure wing with controlled access for patients and staff. It is conveniently located off 293 and provides a very comfortable atmosphere for both patients and staff. We find our patients are much happier and more satisfied with our testing process being in a relaxed environment.

We have 4 board certified Sleep Physicians and specialize in both pediatric and adult sleep testing. We provide start to finish long term care for our sleep patients, which includes, initial consultation, home sleep testing, in-lab sleep testing, mask fittings, CPAP clinics, remote patient monitoring, yearly follow up. We also do testing for other organizations in the community that don't have their own sleep lab.

What You'll Do:

  • Performs sleep studies as per order of physicians.
  • Scores sleep stages, sleep apnea, hypopnea, nocturnal myoclonus and recognizes certain EEG and EKG abnormalities and artifacts.
  • Applies and adjusts PAP according to procedure manual.
  • Responds appropriately to medical emergencies that may arise during sleep studies.
  • Calibrates and maintains all equipment necessary for sleep monitoring.
  • Develops and continues to improve communication with all physicians involved in ordering or interpreting tests.
  • Interviews patient and documents pertinent data for sleep study report.
  • Maintains accurate record of sleep studies and results according to AASM standards.

Who You Are:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of one (1) year of sleep lab experience preferred.

Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment.

Registered Sleep Technologists:

Must also either be a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or passed BRPT registry exam by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, CRT or RRT.

Non-Registered Sleep Technologists must have completed the A-Step Online Self-Guided Modules OR Completed Registered Polysomnographic Technologist training from an accreditation for Respiratory Care program (CoARC) with ability to pass the certification exam within one year of hire.
