Job description

General Hotels Corporation is seeking a Housekeeping Room Inspector for our Comfort Inn and Suites hotel in Clarkston, Michigan. The primary responsibility of the Housekeeping Room Inspector is to ensure cleanliness of all guest rooms and maintain the high standards of the hotel, assist and monitor housekeeping employees in their daily tasks, and inform housekeeping managers of any discrepancies. This position is also required to assist housekeeping managers with housekeeping related duties such as lost and found procedures, answering phones and any other task related to housekeeping, guest service and interaction with housekeeping employees.

DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inspect all vacant rooms daily in assigned areas and spot-check occupied rooms as needed.
  • Ensure all required amenities and linens are stocked daily in each guest room according to standards.
  • Ensure the guest room is clean according to standards and that required daily cleaning assignments have been completed, as specified by office.
  • Monitor all housekeeping employees and their daily activities while on the floor. Report any issues to housekeeping manager immediately.
  • Assist housekeeping managers with office duties and back of house duties, as needed, including but not limited to lost and found, shipping and daily offices procedures.
  • Assist in cleaning rooms or laundry if the need occurs.
  • Assist in special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude towards guests at all times.
