Lead an Exceptional Hospitality Experience

As the General Manager of our distinguished Marriott Autograph Collection hotel, you'll have the opportunity to shape the guest journey, inspire an exceptional team, and lead one of the area's premier boutique luxury destinations. What You'll Do
As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of hotel operations while ensuring alignment with company policies, Marriott brand standards, and our commitment to exceptional hospitality. You will champion our core values of Guest Satisfaction, Associate Satisfaction, Accountability, and Profitability while fostering a culture of excellence throughout the hotel. Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead all hotel operations to deliver exceptional luxury guest experiences and achieve operational excellence.
  • Drive financial performance by meeting or exceeding revenue, profitability, and budget goals.
  • Develop and execute both short- and long-term business strategies that support the property's continued growth and success.
  • Maintain strong payroll, purchasing, and expense controls while maximizing profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, Marriott brand standards, and operational procedures.
  • Serve as a visible, approachable leader for both guests and associates, fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of hotel accommodations, amenities, rates, availability, and daily operations.
  • Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, urgency, and a commitment to creating memorable experiences.
  • Support operational teams as needed to ensure seamless service and exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team while promoting professional development and career growth.
  • Lead all aspects of performance management, employee engagement, and talent development to create a positive and productive workplace.
  • Establish, maintain, and reinforce operational standards, cleanliness, safety, and service excellence across every department.
  • Partner closely with the Sales team to drive revenue growth, strengthen market presence, and maximize business opportunities.
  • Consistently achieve outstanding results on Marriott brand evaluations, quality assurance inspections, cleanliness audits, and guest satisfaction metrics.
  • Represent the hotel as an ambassador within the local community, cultivating meaningful partnerships and enhancing the property's reputation.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate is an accomplished hospitality professional with a proven record of operational excellence, financial leadership, and team development. Preferred qualifications include:
  • Five or more years of progressive leadership experience within the hospitality industry, including hotel operations management.
  • Previous General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience at a full-service, upscale, luxury, or lifestyle hotel preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams, driving guest satisfaction, and achieving financial performance goals.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cost control.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all hotel departments and operational best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with guests, associates, ownership, and corporate leadership.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation is a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Experience with hotel property management systems and hospitality technology.
  • Knowledge of the local market, community, and attractions is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interpret operational procedures, safety guidelines, and business reports while exercising sound judgment and strategic decision-making.
