Job description

Working alongside the amazing team at The Quail, we are seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to assist in leading and directing our Engineering Department.

Key Accountabilities

  • Accountable for the operation, repairs and maintenance of the buildings, furniture/fixtures, and engineering facilities of the property.
  • Assists engineering operations by following equipment manufacturer recommendations, property policies and procedures, and operational schedules and requirements.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance program, staff training and equipment repairs.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members
  • Assist in managing the engineering team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

General Requirements

  • 2 years' experience in the Hotel/Motel/Resort Engineering industry and/or the construction industry
  • Possession of a valid California Driver's License
  • Knowledge of all maintenance facets, including but not limited to: Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, pool maintenance, refrigeration, and lock repair
  • Capable of quickly evaluating, troubleshooting and decision making
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and capable of meeting deadlines as required.
  • Work efficiently with minimal supervision

Salary: $90,000- 100,000 per year
