Now Hiring: Hotel Maintenance Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for a hotel property with an indoor pool. This position requires a dependable, knowledgeable, and hands-on individual who takes pride in keeping the property safe, clean, and well-maintained for both guests and staff.
Hotel maintenance experience is mandatory. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • General hotel maintenance and repairs
  • Preventative maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas
  • PTAC troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs
  • Plumbing repairs and maintenance
  • Electrical troubleshooting and minor repairs
  • Drywall repairs, painting, and touch-ups
  • Basic carpentry and repair work
  • Appliance, fixture, and equipment repairs
  • Responding to guest room maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintaining hotel equipment and mechanical systems
  • Indoor pool maintenance, including cleaning, chemical testing, and equipment monitoring
  • Knowledge of pool pumps, filters, and basic pool operations
  • Maintaining maintenance logs, inspections, and preventative maintenance records
  • Completing work orders in a timely manner
  • Exterior property maintenance and outdoor upkeep
  • Groundskeeping as needed
  • Parking lot maintenance and lighting checks
  • Snow and ice removal when needed from the sidewalks
  • Identifying maintenance concerns before they become guest issues
  • Ensuring all areas of the property are safe, clean, and well-maintained
  • Following all hotel safety procedures, brand standards, and company policies
  • Keeping maintenance areas, tools, and storage spaces clean, safe, and organized
Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hotel maintenance experience required
  • Experience with indoor pool maintenance required
  • CPO certification preferred, but strong pool maintenance experience will be considered
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and general repairs
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors
  • Weekends are required
  • Must be available for emergency maintenance situations as needed
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be dependable, professional, and detail-oriented
  • Must be able to work independently without constant supervision
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and complete work in a timely manner
  • Must communicate professionally with guests, management, and staff
  • Must be physically able to lift, bend, climb ladders, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform all required maintenance duties
  • Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions
  • Must be able to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • References are requested
  • Background check may be required
