You'll keep our property safe, functional, and beautiful - and when something goes wrong, you'll be the calm, capable person who makes it right.Your day-to-day will include:Responding to guest maintenance requests promptly and resolving them to the guest's satisfactionPerforming skilled repairs and maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, wall covering, and carpentryExecuting and documenting preventative maintenance programs to keep the property in peak conditionKeeping all equipment, work areas, and departmental logs clean and organizedPatrolling the building and parking areas to identify and proactively address any safety, security, or maintenance concernsReporting suspicious activity or unsafe conditions to the Chief Engineer immediatelyStaying cross-trained on the responsibilities of fellow Engineers so the team is always coveredWhat You BringExperience:Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance or facilities experiencePainting and wall covering skills are required - you'll use them regularlyHotel or hospitality maintenance background (2+ years preferred, but we'll consider strong candidates from related industries)Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and/or HVAC a significant plusSkills & Attributes:A self-starter with a steady, even-tempered approach - you don't rattle easilyClear communicator, both in conversation with guests and in written maintenance logsTakes pride in their appearance and represents the property professionallyReliable, punctual, and committed - attendance matters hereValid driver's license required (you'll occasionally operate a hotel vehicle)Physical Requirements:Comfortable with frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carryingAble to bend, kneel, climb stairs and ladders throughout your shiftFull mobility to respond quickly anywhere on property, including emergenciesMust be able to drive a company truck to pick up equipment and suppliesSchedule & AvailabilityThis is a 2nd shift position (3 PM-11 PM), and availability on weekends and holidays is required.
