Job description

Join our White Elephant Aspen Team, part of White Elephant Resorts, a collection of award-winning boutique hotels and luxury resorts in Nantucket, Palm Beach, and Aspen.

White Elephant Aspen is seeking a polished, professional, and proactive Full-Time Doorman/Bell Captain to lead the guest arrival experience and oversee bell/door operations at our luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Aspen.

*This covers a swing shift - 8 hour shift varies anytime between 5:30am - 11:30pm

As the first and last point of contact for our guests, you’ll be essential in setting the tone for a five-star stay—from welcoming arrivals with warmth and professionalism to coordinating flawless departures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet all guests upon arrival and assist with luggage, transportation, and directions
  • Supervise and support bell staff and valet team during your shift
  • Ensure seamless coordination with Front Desk, Concierge, and Housekeeping
  • Anticipate guest needs, offer local recommendations, and elevate the arrival/departure experience
  • Maintain hotel entrance appearance, guest flow, and safety protocols
  • Support guests in Aspen-specific needs: ski storage, high-altitude awareness, and seasonal services

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in luxury hospitality, preferably in bell/door or valet operations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and guest service skills
  • Knowledge of Aspen’s layout, local services, and seasonal events
  • Ability to lift luggage (up to 50 lbs) and work in winter/summer outdoor conditions
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-touch guest environment
