Job Description
Fox Bros BBQ hostess/host is the first line to our guest. As a hostess/host must cheerfully greet our guests and sit them in a prompt and efficient manner. It is also their responsibility to keep an organized rotation of tables, provide silverware and always know where the next table will be sat. Most guests are happy and excited to be here, however, if there is a case where a guest is frustrated or showing signs of anger it is the host’s job to retrieve a manager immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and organized work space
  • Arrive to work on time, in uniform, ready to work
  • Change and keep menu board up to date
  • Great each guest with a smile and warm greeting
  • Get information for table in a quick and meticulous way
  • Seat guest in most efficient manner
  • Make sure silverware goes to the table clean
  • Keep and organized rotation
  • Communicate with bussers and managers to insure quick table turns
  • Always lead guests to their tables and place menus in front of them after they are seated
  • Give realistic quotes for wait times
  • Be efficient at all 3 host positions
  • Give a guest a salutation when leaving (never say good bye)
  • High School Diploma or GED. Some college is preferred but not necessary.
  • Have proper phone etiquette
  • Restaurant knowledge
