Job description

On Location is a global leader in premium experiential hospitality offering ticketing, curated guest experiences, live event production and travel management across sports, entertainment, fashion and culture.

The Role

Manager, LA28 Platinum Access Business Development – responsible for proposal development, account management and execution of customized products for corporate clients, primarily the IOC (LA2028). Works cross‑functionally to maintain efficiency and deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Business Operations
    • Develop and implement technology‑driven initiatives to enhance efficiency.
    • Maintain strong working relationships with functional areas.
    • Stay knowledgeable on product offerings, venue schedules and cultural experiences.
    • Author and distribute event‑related communications.
    • Execute duties assigned by leadership.
  • Business Development
    • Build and manage relationships from initial contact through contracting.
    • Identify client hospitality requirements and design optimal solutions.
    • Create and manage event budgets, ensuring financial soundness.
    • Author, edit and produce proposal materials.
    • Negotiate contracts and secure favorable rates.
    • Support RFIs/RFPs and maintain client records in Salesforce/Optimo.
  • Account Management
    • Coordinate with Program Management on opportunity feasibility.
    • Analyze post‑event financials, reporting and reconciliation.
    • Review client surveys to maintain brand quality.
    • Document event summaries for reporting and accounting.
    • Attend events and client meetings site‑visits.
    • Create written materials, executive summaries and case studies.
  • Additional Duties
    • Lead team management, performance reviews and training.
    • Develop and implement procedural and operational efficiencies.
    • Facilitate team and leadership meetings.
    • Provide input on performance reviews, bonuses and merit increases.
    • Reconcile expenses and budgets monthly.
    • Drive continuous quality improvement and a customer‑first approach.
    • Maintain communication of expectations and task ownership.
    • Collaborate across workstreams and resolve roadblocks.
  • Travel
    • Travel 15‑20% annually, including 1‑2months of continuous travel during right‑holder events.
    • Travel may involve evenings, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
  • Required Education and Experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business Development, Account Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • 7+ years in a management position, preferably B2B within travel and hospitality.
    • Proficiency in Salesforce, Airtable, Keynote, Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe (InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Preferred Education and Experience
    • Proven record of building and maintaining client relationships and managing complex corporate accounts.
    • Experience with B2B corporate groups and high‑touch guest services, event operations.
    • Hands‑on approach to customized solutions.
    • Understanding of the entertainment landscape (sports, fashion, culinary, culture).
    • Strong interpersonal, oral, written and presentation skills.
    • Creative, innovative, strategic thinker with excellent time‑management and supervisory skills.
    • Ability to prioritize, multitask and deliver accurate work under pressure.
    • Experience with international, Olympic, World Cup or major sporting events.
    • Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese or Chinese is a plus.

Compensation

Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Annual base salary ranges from $71,250 to $95,000. The package includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid time off and 401(k) plan.
