Job description

Hertz Local Edition is hiring a Manager Trainee to join our local rental branch team. In this hands-on role, you’ll learn how to run a successful rental location while delivering a great customer experience and supporting daily branch operations.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is motivated, customer-focused, and interested in growing into a leadership role. With structured training and real-world experience, you’ll prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months.

Wage: $18.50/hour + Incentives which vary based on job performance

What You’ll Do

  • Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration.
  • Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships, identifying customer needs, and applying effective sales techniques.
  • Deliver a positive customer experience by helping customers through the rental process and resolving questions or concerns professionally.
  • Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle preparation, lot organization, documentation, and compliance tasks.
  • Partner with branch leadership to understand scheduling, team communication, performance coaching, and business metrics.
  • Build the skills needed to grow into future leadership opportunities within Hertz.

  • Valid driver’s license required
