Janitorial Services Assistant

Classification: Part Time Flex

Pay Rate: $21.07/HR

Work Schedule: Mornings, Evenings or weekends 

Work Location: On-site/Bainbridge Island Campus


Benefit Package      This position is eligible to receive Sick & Safe leave with a maximum annual accrual of 40 hours. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with event setups and breakdowns including lifting and moving furniture
  • Event cleaning, routine cleaning, and occasional deep cleaning projects 
  • Scheduled turnovers and cleaning of classrooms, bathrooms, dining room, and other buildings
  • Cleaning, mopping, window cleaning, waste removal, recycling separation,
  • Communicate inventory and equipment status to the Hospitality Services Manager
  • Campus security and nightly lock-up of buildings; evening emergency assistance


Required Qualifications:  

  • Minimum of 6 months experience of professional janitor work in the hospitality industry
  • Be able to understand and follow safety guidelines
  • Must be physically able to walk, stand, bend, twist, turn, kneel, stoop, climb ladders and stairs
  • Able to use hand tools and push, lift and carry up to 70 pounds
    • Washington State driver’s license and ability to obtain any licenses required for system or vehicle operation
