Employment Type: Per diem (PD / PRN)
Location: Mission Regional Medical Center, Mission TX
We are seeking a Food Service Worker, sometimes referred to as a Café Worker or Food Service Associate. The Food Service Worker will work in our hospital cafeteria, responsible for preparing, serving, and delivering meals, ensuring food safety and cleanliness, and adhering to dietary guidelines. They support patient nutrition, healthcare hospitality, serve staff and visitors, maintain kitchen equipment and inventory, and contribute to overall food service operations in our hospital. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.
Responsibilities
** If you have experience as dietary aide (Food Service Associate) with food service in a healthcare setting / healthcare hospitality you are encouraged to apply! **
  • Prepare and serve food to our patients, staff, and visitors
  • Ensure food safety by following hygiene and sanitation guidelines
  • Operate kitchen equipment like ovens, slicers, or dishwashers
  • Stock supplies and maintain inventory
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • Take and fulfill meal orders according to dietary guidelines for patients
  • Handle cash or operate a register for cafeteria transactions

Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
  1. Starting July 1, 2017, High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

County Specific requirement.
  1. County Specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and maintained current
