The Hotel Northampton is a leading provider of exceptional catering services, specializing in weddings, corporate events, social events and  private parties. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Catering Sales Manager to join our team and help us elevate our catering offerings to new heights.

The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the proactive development and management of catering sales. This role requires a highly motivated individual with exceptional interpersonal skills, a passion for customer service, and a strong background in sales and event planning. The ideal candidate will have the ability to nurture client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and effectively coordinate all aspects of catered events.

Key Responsibilities

Create and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals. Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for growth.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences. Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.

Collaborate with clients to plan and execute catering events, including menu selection, logistics, and staffing. Ensure all events are executed flawlessly and meet client expectations.

Develop and provide accurate quotes and proposals for catering services. Work with management to create competitive pricing structures that align with business objectives.

Assist in the development and execution of marketing initiatives to promote catering services. Participate in trade shows, networking events, and partnerships to generate leads.

Work closely with the culinary team, service staff, and other departments to ensure seamless event execution and superior service delivery.

Monitor sales performance, track results, and provide regular reports to management. Use insights to refine sales strategies and improve overall performance.

- Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales and catering management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of catering operations and event planning processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and catering/event management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
