FSU Panama City is located 100 miles west of Tallahassee on the beautiful North St. Andrews Bay and is only three miles from the beaches of the Emerald Coast. FSU PC currently houses 20 bachelor's programs, 9 master's programs, and 1 doctoral program, and boasts a small faculty-to-student ratio, which gives students a more personalized academic experience. Responsibilities
  • Develop and teach face-to-face and online courses in the Hospitality and Tourism Management curriculum with a special emphasis on core courses in the program (including: financial analysis, leadership, marketing for hospitality, managing revenues, lodging, and/or catering management).
  • Work with colleagues on campus, and from the Dedman College of Hospitality at the Tallahassee campus, to support the program with course coordination, curriculum development, and committee service.
  • Provide high quality instruction, career advising/mentorship, and student service to our on-campus and online students.
  • Be an engaged faculty member fostering relationships with local hospitality and tourism education and industry partners.
  • Opportunities are available to engage in research, though not specifically required for this teaching faculty position.

Qualifications
PhD or DBA in Hospitality Management, or strongly related field, from an accredited institution. Candidates who are ABD will be considered, and candidates who have a Master's degree in Hospitality Management with a related doctoral degree will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include: previous university teaching experience, demonstrated ability to teach online, and applied, industry experience. We especially seek candidates who can teach a broad range of undergraduate Hospitality Management courses. Successful candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and be dedicated to student success.

Overall, the program prepares students for leadership and management positions in hospitality and tourism businesses and organizations. The Dedman College's Hospitality Management program has been ranked as a top 10 program in the world by the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects.

This is a Faculty position.
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check .
The position will begin in Fall 2026 with consideration for Spring 2027 if circumstances warrant.
This position will be on-site in Panama City, Florida.
