Job description

Area General Manager – Inn & Lodge Portfolio

Location: Greater San Antonio, Texas Area

Compensation: $100,000–$120,000 Base Salary + Bonus Potential + Mileage Reimbursement

Relocation Assistance: Negotiable

The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Area General Manager to oversee a portfolio of four Inn/Lodge properties located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country just outside the San Antonio area. This is an operational leadership role for someone who enjoys being present with their teams, supporting day-to-day operations, and creating an exceptional guest experience.

If you've built your career in Select Service hospitality and are ready to oversee multiple properties while remaining engaged in the daily operation, this is an outstanding opportunity to broaden your leadership responsibilities. You'll guide four hotels as a unified portfolio, mentor property leaders, and deliver strong operational and financial performance.

These properties offer a refreshing change from the pace of a major city while remaining conveniently close to everything San Antonio has to offer.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Portfolio Operations

Provide leadership for the daily operations of four Inn/Lodge properties, ensuring consistency in service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction across every location.

Visible Leadership

Maintain a strong presence at each property. Support your teams, coach managers, and lead by example throughout front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.

Team Development

Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing management teams. Foster a positive culture that promotes engagement, accountability, and long-term employee retention.

Guest Experience

Champion exceptional hospitality by monitoring guest feedback, resolving concerns promptly, and maintaining outstanding service standards throughout the portfolio.

Financial Management

Drive overall financial performance through effective budgeting, expense management, revenue optimization, and achievement of portfolio P&L objectives.

Quality & Brand Standards

Ensure each property consistently meets brand expectations, passes inspections, and remains prepared for audits and quality reviews.

Business Strategy

Partner with ownership and senior leadership to identify opportunities, implement operational improvements, and support continued portfolio growth.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a General Manager, Area General Manager, or Multi-Unit Hotel Leader within Select Service hospitality
  • Success overseeing multiple hotel properties or locations simultaneously
  • Strong operational knowledge of front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, controlling expenses, and improving profitability
  • Proven ability to recruit, mentor, and retain strong leadership teams
  • A hands-on leadership approach with a willingness to be actively involved in daily operations
  • Ability to travel regularly between all four properties in the San Antonio market

Why Consider This Opportunity?

It's not often that a multi-property leadership role offers both strategic responsibility and the chance to stay closely connected to hotel operations. You'll have the opportunity to lead an established portfolio, mentor outstanding teams, and make a measurable impact while working in one of Texas' most scenic regions.

If you're an accomplished hospitality leader looking to take the next step in your career while remaining connected to your teams and guests, we'd love to hear from you.
